Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons - Eric Litwin, James Dean This is a cute book to read to your preschooler or kindergartener. It is the latest in the Pete the Cat series. He nonchalantly deals with loosing his buttons. It's illustrated and written in number sentences as well as a cute little ditty about it. I haven't downloaded the accompanying song from the publisher website yet but the natural rhythm of the writing already lends itself to be read aloud like a song. The illustration is colorful and simple -- just the right amount to be stimulating but not noisy.
