Metroland - Julian Barnes I read this novel a while ago. It dealt with two childhood friends who talked about rebelling against the establishment when coming of age in England. We follow the journey of Christopher who has gone his separate way to pursue a bohemian artist existence. However, his journey leads him to the very establishment he swore as a teenager that he would revile. At this point, he meets his friend again. Toni has remained the same rebellious kid. Here is where we glimpse their existence side-by-side. I really loved this novel. It shows the foibles of youth, maturity of adulthood all with sensitivity and truthfulness. T
