Ruthless - Anne Stuart This novel is a refreshing change that successfully alters the general plot conventions used in similar historical novels. I really got sucked into the story even though I initially disliked the hero or more like the anti hero. Everyone is damaged in this novel except for Lydia. Her innocence is a little hard to swallow especially with the hardship she and her sister is subjected to.
