Dreaming in Chinese: Mandarin Lessons In Life, Love, And Language
I enjoyed this book. A fan of fish out of water stories, I really loved reading about her impressions of China and of the Chinese language. Being a Westerner of European descent, she has difficulties with the language and shares impressions of everyday Chinese culture or differences to that of which she had been accustomed too. Each chapter is one aspect of her experience. They don't always flow but read as individual stories however her style is still clear and accessible.
