The Lady and Her Monsters: A Tale of Dissections, Real-Life Dr. Frankensteins, and the Creation of Mary Shelley's Masterpiece - Roseanne Montillo This was a wonderful read. It's a brief survey of the experiments from key players during the era that influenced Frankenstein as well as a glimpse into the life of Mary Godwin Shelley. Montillo weaves a wonderful narrative that pulls you into that world. She carefully chooses individuals with focussed intent and develops a narrative in relation to the people performing these experiments, the resurrectionists and the lives involved with Mary Shelley. At one point, I became more interested in the historical players than I was with Mary Shelley. This was an easy read and I throughly enjoyed the writing and seamless story telling.
