I was a little leary about this novel when I read the synopsis but was glad I was able to get my hands on this novel from the local public library.
There is an even balance of character development between Vivian and Grant. The plot line of the attempted murder case helps move the story along but the main focus is on Vivian and Grant.
What I also like about this novel is that there are hints everywhere as to potential suspects. It is not a complete surprise. A lot of the themes in this book had the potential of being ridiculous but Kleypas did a wonderful job developing and weaving all the elements into a well told tale and no need for willing suspension of disbelief.
This is my first Kleypas novel and I look forward to reading more of this series! On to the waiting lists for ebooks at the library.
